Hey, motorsport fans! Unfortunately, the Sydney Speed Festival, originally scheduled for this Saturday, 25 January 2025, has been postponed.

The good news? We’re already set to return on an even bigger and better date. Mark your calendars for Saturday, 5 April 2025

This decision, partly due to some recent calendar changes, ensures we deliver the epic quality show you’ve been waiting for. It’s the same explosive event just on a new date!

What's on at Sydney Speed Festival:
Heart-pounding Drag Racing - Sub 9 second monsters - Pro Mods, Imports and other weapons with $10,000 prize money up for grabs
Action-packed drifting - The Australian Drift Club will be lighting up Sydney Dragway's Motorkhana area with their electrifying exhibition drifts
Vibrant car show - We have partnered with the Blackout Society to bring the very best car show in town to Sydney Dragway + an on-track cruise for all car show entries
Live entertainment - Live music, food trucks, vendors and much much more!

TIMES: 
Competitor Gate (Gate A) opens: 10AM
Spectator Gate (Gate D) opens: 4PM
Scrutineering from: 11AM- 5PM
Car Show entry from: 4PM
Car Show from: 5PM-9PM
Testing from: 12PM-4PM
Racing from: 5PM-10PM

Sydney Speed Festival - How will the drag racing work?
We've been getting lots of questions about how the drag racing will run, so here is everything you need to know about the first Sydney Speed Festival at Sydney Dragway:

Racing format:
- This is a team challenge event: Teams of 4 cars compete for $10,000 prize money
- No classes, just ET based matchups. Get ready to see wild battles like Pro Mod vs R32!
- 3 rounds of racing, with 3 points for a win, 1 point for a loss.
- Each competitor will have the chance to get 9 points for their team, with a maximum of 36 points able to be scored per team
- The team with the most points wins the event!

Racing Rules:
- Heads up PRO Tree with a 7 second timeout
- Must meet IHRA safety, licensing and tech requirements
- Must be a sub 9.5 second car

Get ready for intense, action-packed racing and insane matchups – this is drag racing like you’ve never seen before!

Competitor entry closes: SUNDAY, 30 March 2025 - at MIDNIGHT!
